The original Molteno implant, now available in simple single plate, or dual-chamber.
Single Plate Molteno® Implant (S1)
Particularly suitable for elderly patients with reduced ciliary body function and for combined cataract and glaucoma operations.
For acute glaucomas, this implant has been superseded by the Molteno3® Implant, which provides better control of postoperative hypotony.
